Kasia Johnson

Kasia Johnson, violist, is currently a member of the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. She has been performing professionally in the Chicago area for 15 years, playing with orchestras accompanying Luciano Pavarotti, The Joffrey Ballet, the American Ballet Theater and Chicago Light Opera Works. She has performed with a wide range of classical groups including The Lake Forest Symphony and the Illinois Chamber Symphony, as well as numerous touring popular music groups including groups such as The Moody Blues and The Who.

Kasia received her performance degrees from the University of Michigan, where she studied with Yizhak Schotten, and from Northern Illinois University, where she completed intensive chamber music training with the Vermeer Quartet. She has participated in various chamber music festivals including The Woodstock Mozart Festival (Woodstock, IL), The Meadowmount School of Music (Wesport, NY) and The Killington Chamber Music Festival (Killington, VT).
